The Zeta Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter (ZAS) is based out of College Park, GA and primarily services the cities that comprise of South Fulton, Clayton, Cobb, and Douglas counties. Our members reside in all areas of the Metro Atlanta area and often participate in events in neighboring cities and counties. ZAS currently has over 100 members of different ages, professional backgrounds, cultural experiences and years of Sigma service. The dynamic women of ZAS are leaders within their families, professions and the community.

Service is the main thrust of ZAS and the chapter is committed to improving the lives of women and children within Metro Atlanta. During each sorority year, the Zeta Alpha Sigma Chapter donates over 300 hours of time to serving the community.

The chapter received its charter on April 2, 1985 with 11 members, Gladys Brown, Andra Carter Cooke, Brenda J. Davenport, Gloria Jones, Patricia G. Langford, Marguerita Lance, Nancy Mullins, Carla Oglesby, Betty Stephens, Myrtle Turner Harris, and Lisa Walton.

Zeta Alpha Sigma became the second chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. established in the Atlanta area. Based in College Park, GA; the Zeta Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter serves as the advising chapter to the lovely ladies of Omicron Gamma at Georgia State University.

The Zeta Alpha Sigma Alumnae Chapter chartered a Philo Club in Fall 2007 and sponsors a very active Rhoer and Rhosebud Club. ZAS also supports the national projects of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. including the chapter's annual Founders' Day Baby Basket giveaway (Project Cradle Care), Operation BigBookBag and the Sigma Youth Symposium.

To date, the members of Zeta Alpha Sigma celebrate over 35 years of achievement and excellence through progressive community service efforts.

We continue to make Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. a presence in East Point, College Park and neighboring metro Atlanta area communities.
